In our house, whether it’s a birthday, anniversary or holiday, getting together with family and friends means cocktails and canapés. Hosting an hors d’oeuvres party doesn’t have to be complicated nor a lot of work. Make entertaining easy with a few key passed appetizers, a table spread of dips and baked camembert with lesley stowe raincoast crisps®.
This camembert could not be easier and takes under 5 minutes. Just be sure to set the cheese on the lowest rack in your oven and watch it carefully so that it doesn’t burn – it can go from perfect to overdone in a second.
- Pairs with:
- raincoast crisps® cranberry and hazelnut
Ingredients
- 1 small wheel camembert
- 3-4 Tbsp. brown sugar
- zest of one orange
Directions
- STEP 1: With a small, sharp kitchen knife, remove the top rind from the wheel of cheese. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet and cover top with zest from the orange and the sugar.
- STEP 2: Place on the lowest rack in the oven under a hot broiler and bake until sugar caramelizes. Watch carefully as it can go from perfect to burnt quickly.
